Trichology and Hair Transplant
Trichology is the branch of cosmetic science that studies the science and physiology of scalp and hair. It aims to diagnose, treat, and manage disorders or problems related to hair, including hair loss, seborrhoeic eczema, scalp psoriasis, alopecia, hypertrichosis, telogen Effluvium, and trichotillomania. Trichologists or hair specialists recommend or prescribe both holistic and medical approaches to treat these hair conditions.
A hair transplant is a type of cosmetic surgery to treat a significant issue: hair loss. This procedure involves the transfer of hair-bearing skin from one part of the scalp to another area with thinning or no hair. This treatment restores the receding hairline, a common problem in men. There are two types of hair transplant surgeries: follicular unit strip surgery (FUSS) or follicular unit extraction (FUE). This surgery provides a younger look and improves the overall appearance.
