Introduction
The use of cigarettes and electronic cigarettes, or vaping, poses significant public health concerns. Tobacco remains the leading preventable cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide. E-cigarettes initially emerged as a perceived safer alternative to conventional cigarettes, intended to aid smoking cessation. Dermatologists recognize the importance of understanding the skin-related (cutaneous) manifestations associated with smoking and vaping, as this knowledge is essential for patient care in clinical practice. They play a crucial role in educating and counseling patients on smoking cessation and its benefits for skin and overall health.
